Privacy Policy
ChatGPT to PDF converts your AI conversations into polished PDF documents while keeping your information private. This policy explains what we collect, what we never collect, how we use data, and the choices available to you.
Information We Collect
We only retain a minimal set of data necessary to provide and improve the service:
- Saved settings. Layout preferences, language, and other options you explicitly save for later reuse.
- Service telemetry. Aggregated request counts, performance timings, and anonymized error logs from our infrastructure and analytics tools (e.g., Cloudflare, Google Analytics) so we can keep the service reliable.
- Account & billing data (future feature). If you sign up, we store the email, display name, hashed password or SSO identifier, and payment status as provided by our payment processor. Full payment information is never stored on our servers.
- Support communications. Messages you send to our support email so we can reply and track the conversation history.
What We Explicitly Do Not Collect
Chat transcripts, prompts, attachments, and generated PDFs are never stored, analyzed, or sold. They flow through our Cloudflare Workers runtime solely to render the requested PDF and are discarded immediately after the file is generated. We do not create backups of this transient content.
How We Use Information
- Provide core functionality and deliver your PDFs.
- Remember your saved presets when you return.
- Monitor infrastructure health, diagnose issues, and protect the platform from abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Send service notices or product updates (you can opt out anytime).
Data Retention & Deletion
- Transient chat content is deleted immediately after a PDF is generated.
- Saved presets and account data remain until you delete them or close the account.
- Aggregated analytics events are retained for up to 12 months.
- Email support records are kept as long as needed to resolve your request.

Sharing with Third Parties
We share data only with vendors that help us run the product:
- Infrastructure. The service runs on Cloudflare Workers, KV, D1, and Durable Objects. These systems temporarily handle encrypted traffic to render PDFs.
- AI & formatting providers. When optional AI formatting is enabled, sanitized input is sent to LLM APIs strictly to produce layout improvements.
- Payments. Stripe (or a similar processor) manages billing details. They receive necessary customer information to prevent fraud and process transactions.
- Compliance. We may disclose limited data to comply with the law, protect our rights, or prevent misuse.
We do not sell personal information.
Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and preference storage, plus optional analytics cookies that measure feature usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may reduce functionality.
International Transfers
Data may be processed in the United States or other regions where our providers operate. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or comparable safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your data, as well as the right to portability and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Security
We enforce TLS, scoped API keys, logging, and least-privilege access for operational tooling. While no system is perfectly secure, we review controls regularly and encourage you to report suspected incidents to [email protected].
Changes to This Policy
We will update this document when our practices change. If updates are significant, we will provide email or in-app notice. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
